The last two weeks we got to do figure drawings with tommy again. Super fun! I really enjoyed it, I've always liked figure drawing and that stood when we did it this year. The only new thing was that we did some subtractive drawing, which was really awkward for me at first, but by the time we got to the really long one I felt good about it. Otherwise I enjoyed just rehashing figure, gesture drawing, and all of that. I felt like I made good progress with those skills (sort-of)

My recollection is admittedly a little clouded, since it's been a really long year, but this is to reflect on my personal artistic growth througout my time in Art 3! Over the past 2-ish weeks we've been working on abstract expressionist paintings, and I feel like it's gone pretty well overall. I like my final painting and feel like the colors I chose worked well, plus the composition isn't horrible. It was rougher at the start when I didn't really know what I wanted to do, but as we kept working I feel I worked more with the painting to make something that felt complete and finished.
