To be honest, while making this work, it did take me a bit to get started on it. I initially struggled with the question of how to fill all the space and what to fill it with. Even though I had my photo and everything, so realistically it should have been easy to do, I still struggled. This uncertainty caused some trouble when working on the shirt and hair, because they were more dense and weren't similar to what the reference artist drawing wore.

The worst part, though, was drawing the face, because I messed up some of the proportions while doing the basic outline and then had to try (not entirely successfully) to fix that while drawing the final piece. Overall I feel like while going through the process of drawing this, I did manage to capture the artist's mark in some places, but as I became a little more rushed in working I drifted from that and caused inconsistencies in my portrait. I wish I had managed to make it a little more realistic (within the confines of the artist's mark), but I'm happy that I finished it and that it turned out relatively well.
