Mike Garcia is a painter who focuses on realistic "fine art" portraits. I was originally looking for someone who focused on more surreal art, but I found him instead. I chose to research him more due to his portraits and figures, because I really enjoy both of those things and wanted to look at how someone who is an "actual" artist creates them.

While he's really based in Arizona, I thought his works were fairly interesting and I enjoyed seeing how he created potraits and figures. It was a very realistic portrayal, and I'm not necessarily going for that level of detail or depth, but it was still interseting. He currently teaches a lot of art in the Phoenix area.
